Live Urban
New London, Conn.- The New York Times recently lauded New London’s historic harbor and expanding art and music scenes. Join New London Landmarks at its Live Urban New London event June 19 to discover the attractions and amenities that have won New London recognition as an inspiring place to visit and live.
The NEW Parade
On June 19, 2010, from 3pm – 6pm New London Landmarks is hosting a self-guided walking tour of over a dozen private residences and businesses to showcase the benefits of residing in downtown New London and the interesting places to visit.  Home or business owners and a representative from New London Landmarks will be at each location to discuss the history of the building and the amenities they find while living and working in the city.  One of Landmarks specially prepared guidebooks, LIVE URBAN GUIDE will be your companion for the tour.
New London offers affordable historic and modern living spaces near the water, within walking distance of a library, salons, yoga studio, fitness club, coffee shops, organic food market co-op, and dozens of restaurants and other shops, as well as access to train, bus and ferry transportation.  Meet the urban pioneers and discover homes with character, people who are involved in a unique and diverse community, who live in an environmentally friendly alternative to an automobile-based lifestyle. New London offers exciting possibilities for 21st century living in an historic and cultural urban center.
